According to Flightadar24, an American B-52 strategic bomber flew over Estonia yesterday. Prior to that, he approached the island of Gogland in the Baltic Sea, where the Russian military base is located.
At first, the bomber flew over the Baltic Sea, but turned around near the Russian island of Gogland and flew to Estonia. He flew over Tartu, after which he went to Latvia and Lithuania.
“A clear message from an American B-52 aircraft at Gogland. Gogland is one of the most strategically important islands in Europe, where Russia first of all expanded its military power,” Mika Aaltola, director of the Finnish Foreign Policy Institute, tweeted. He added that this flight is a response to Russia’s actions in the Arctic and near Alaska.
