💥 Poland is building the largest land army in Europe, – The Telegraph
As noted by the British publication, Poland plans to spend 4% of its GDP on defense, which is twice the usual NATO standards and makes its defense spending the largest in the Alliance per capita.
❌ The modernization program includes the purchase of 1,000 tanks in South Korea, 250 in the United States, 600 self-propelled howitzers, 18 HIMARS launchers, 288 MLRS systems in South Korea, more than 1,000 Polish-made infantry fighting vehicles, 96 AH helicopters, FA-50 aircraft in South Korea
☝️ In total, Poland has placed orders for the supply of weapons worth more than 117 billion dollars until 2035, and the defense budget for the current year is a record 26 billion dollars.
It is also planned to double the size of the Polish army, bringing it to 300,000 people.
