Witnesses claim that after the accident, the driver and one of the passengers switched places.
There was an accident with Ukrainian diplomats in Austria. The incident has already been commented on by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
As reported by the Kronen Zeitung, the accident occurred on the morning of Friday, August 12 – a car carrying three high-ranking employees of the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria crashed into a car with German tourists. When the police arrived, the violators tried to hide, but were caught by the police.
Kronen Zeitung claims, citing witnesses, that after the accident, the driver and one of the passengers switched places. The alleged driver passed a breathalyzer test. The result was 2.32 ppm.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed the participation of a Ukrainian diplomat in a road accident in the capital of Austria. The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleg Nikolenko, wrote: “The position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is clear: diplomatic status does not give employees of Ukrainian diplomatic institutions the right to violate traffic rules and put others at risk. The decision on further steps regarding the accident participant will be made based on the results of the investigation.”
