President Volodymyr Zelenskyi declares that in the event of pseudo-referendums being held in the occupied territories of southern Ukraine, Russia will close any possibility of negotiations with our state.

Direct language: “The position of our state remains the same as it was before: we will not give anything of ours. And if the occupiers follow the path of these pseudo-referendums, they will close for themselves any possibility of negotiations with Ukraine and the free world, which the Russian side clearly will be needed at some point”.

Details: The President noted that every week in the summer there are more and more reports that the occupiers are preparing for pseudo-referendums in the areas occupied by them in the south of Ukraine.

Zelenskyi also warned that everyone who helps the Russians in any way realize this intention of theirs will be accountable to Ukraine.

According to intelligence, the Russian occupiers plan to organize so-called “referendums” in the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions on September 11.

Earlier it was reported that the occupiers in the Zaporizhia region created an “election commission” to hold a so-called “referendum” on the inclusion of the captured regions of the region into Russia.

The Russian occupiers also launched preparations for a pseudo-referendum for the accession of the Kherson region to Russia – they began handing out money to pensioners and advocating for young people to enter the captured universities.

According to the Russian edition “Meduza”, in July, the Russians conducted a poll in the occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions regarding joining Russia, and support for this idea amounted to only 30%.
