In Croatia, a Polish bus was involved in an accident: 11 pilgrims died

Polish citizens died in an accident in Croatia.

In the morning in the north of Croatia, there was an accident, so far it is known about 11 dead.

This was reported by “Polish Radio” with reference to the Croatian press agency HINA.

According to preliminary information, 11 people died on the spot, there are many injured people who were taken to hospitals in Zagreb, Varaždin and Čakovec.

The accident occurred on the 62nd kilometer of the A4 highway between the settlements of Yarek-Bysaskyi and Podvorets. For unknown reasons, the bus with Polish registration left the route and fell into a ditch.

It is reported to be one of the worst accidents on Croatian roads.

Polish MFA spokesman Lukasz Jasina said that all the victims of the Polish bus accident in Croatia are Polish citizens. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that these were pilgrims who were on their way to the town of Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He spoke with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic about the details of the tragedy in the morning.
