Researchers have discovered the deepest known cave in Australia.

This is reported by Science Alert.

A group of researchers has reportedly discovered a cave 401 meters deep in a cave system in Tasmania.

Australia’s deepest cave was named the Delta option in honor of the coronavirus.

As reported, the found cave is 4 meters deeper than the previous record holder – Niggli Cave.

The descent into Australia’s deepest cave took 14 hours.
